We had such a wonderful time on this tour. We were picked up from a nearby location to where we were staying which was very convenient. The drive to Montenegro was beautiful. The tour guide was amazing - very funny and personable. We enjoyed the balance between group/guided time and the independent time to visit in each town. Would highly recommend this trip for others looking for a day trip to Montenegro.

We spent the most wonderful day traveling from Dubrovnik to Montenegro and back with Anna and a lovely driver (I wish I could remember his name ☹️). They were polite, professional, kind, friendly, and very helpful. There was no shortage of historical information, both about Croatia and Montenegro, and any directions we were given were spot on. We were picked up outside our hotel and driven across the border into Montenegro. We stopped for coffee in the bathroom, and then drove on to our first destination, Perast, where we took a quick boat ride to a small island and visited its beautiful church. Then we walked Perast for another half an hour. From there, we drove to Kotor, where we were delivered at one of the old town gates. Anna paid our entrance tax and provided each of us with a map of the area. We wandered the area for 3 1/2 hours, visiting a museum, one of the many palaces, shops, and a restaurant. Pickup was prompt and exactly where we were told it would be, and crossing back into to Croatia went smoothly and quickly. We were very pleased with our excursions and highly recommend this trip, the company, and its guides. Well done! Thank you, Anna!

I was going to wait to write this review until I get home but the tour owner threatening me is a bit much. Firstly, YES the tour is in a beautiful new Mercedes vehicle, that WAS true. It was very clean and very nice. Zero issues with the vehicle however we were stuck in the back and you could barely feel the A/C, everyone complained that was in the back. Our tour was moved two days because of "low attendance" which I genuinely find hard to believe considering how crowded our tour was. It was literally a nursing home bus and the opposite of what I imagined it to be, however that is not the tours fault at all. For context, we had booked on a Saturday and then they reached out to us on Thursday that no one else booked and if we wanted to go, we'd have to go Monday OR we could book a private tour for an additional $300 which I actually debated because I needed to go on the Saturday based on my itinerary. If you aren't going to go on a certain day, you should not offer it. Maybe this is why they have such low attendance.... Also I HATE to tear apart a small business who relies on tourism but for the amount it cost and most importantly critical time of our trip, it was essentially a round trip tranfer to Montenegro, THAT IS IT. You had to pay to take the ferry to the rock (this was kind of in fine print but I guess noted), it was not interesting AND NO ONE SPOKE TO US WHILE WE WERE THERE. You go into this ancient church, which takes about 3 minutes and there is no history shared it was just like go entertain yourself. It was bizarre for a "tour." I've taken 40+ tours all around the world and have never experienced this. Then we went to Kotor, which is a sad version of Old Town, but again not their fault, AND THEN YOU GO WALK AROUND FOR 3.5 HOURS BY YOURSELVES and the ticket they give you is a "map" and entry into the city, no one even checked it made no sense. There was ZERO tour within the walls as they are not licensed to give tours, this should be noted. This was my biggest issue with the tour, it was truly pointless. We literally had lunch and counted down the minutes until we could finally leave. The tour guide also was a VERY VERY nice guy, but was very inexperienced. This tour was incredibly misleading and was such a waste of time. I left with very little knowledge at all and like I said was essentially a transfer. I just did a free tour in Old Town and it was 10/10, I learned so much in an hour and barely learned anything in an entire day. Again, if you want a transfer to Montenegro in a nice car, it's great but this is far from a "tour." Also, Viator needs to update the phrases "includes ticket" which apparently means nothing or city tax. Also if the owner goes rogue and respond, I am not trying to "damage" a business (the owner's gonna respond with this as he had already told me) but people have a right to know what this "tour" is based on facts. Also if they want to improve this, hire someone who can give tours within the walls! That is what people paid for!
We always double-check the availability with our local partners for each booking. Even though this is usually a swift process, it can take up to 24 hours. Once this process is completed you will receive your voucher or ticket by email. If our local partner is not able to confirm your booking we will offer you the best possible alternative. If the new date and/or time doesn’t fit your itinerary, we will reimburse the full amount paid.
