Most often you will read that Korčula is the city of Marco Polo. It is true, but it is also so much more! Korčula’s records of time date back to the Neolithic period.
Legend says that fairy-tale Korčula was home to the beautiful Greek mythology hero, Kerkyra. It is even said to be named after her. These days Korčula presents a connection to nature and beautiful beaches, amongst them is also the “Croatian Santorini”. It shows thousands of years of culture, history, and tradition. Hundreds of years old oil groves, vineyards, and fruit and vegetable productions assure you that you will eat good and local in Korčula. Memories of the great Croatian singer Oliver Dragojević, who was born in Korčula, keep lovely dalmatian music and atmosphere on every step. While enjoying a glass of wine, of course.

Korcula is a wonderful place and the stop at the winery was enjoyable. However the hours spent on the bus were quite uncomfortable on account of the tight seating and every seat being taken. The boat that made the crossing to Korcula seemed like a barely seaworthy fishing boat. And Tatiana, our “guide” was from Argentina, spoke little English and no Croatian, and didn’t know much about the places we were going to. She might as well not have accompanied us since she offered NO useful information.

Never went. The “tour guide “ never showed up where they said they would. Fast Food Jacks, which wasn’t that close to our hotel. We waited over an half an hour then tried to contact them from our hotel. 4 hours later they asked me where we were and why we didn’t show up. I already contacted Viator with the complaint. Still waiting for my refund. Dare ya go. ????????

I took the Korčula tour yesterday, and it was absolutely stunning! The breathtaking views and scenery were truly unforgettable. We had perfect sunny weather, which added to the experience. Our tour guide, Joanna, was fantastic – thanks for the recommendations and for making the tour so special, Joanna!
