Most often you will read that Korčula is the city of Marco Polo. It is true, but it is also so much more! Korčula’s records of time date back to the Neolithic period.
Legend says that fairy-tale Korčula was home to the beautiful Greek mythology hero, Kerkyra. It is even said to be named after her. These days Korčula presents a connection to nature and beautiful beaches, amongst them is also the “Croatian Santorini”. It shows thousands of years of culture, history, and tradition. Hundreds of years old oil groves, vineyards, and fruit and vegetable productions assure you that you will eat good and local in Korčula. Memories of the great Croatian singer Oliver Dragojević, who was born in Korčula, keep lovely dalmatian music and atmosphere on every step. While enjoying a glass of wine, of course.

Very good service. Unfortunately the day is too short to enjoy all over. Comfortable trip. Fun time for us.

An absolute must for anyone wanting to wind down at the end of a vacation or someone wanting something low key to do away from the crowds. On the bus ride down the coast of Dubrovnik, we visited a small town known for their salt distribution. It was a beautiful little slice of local life and we stopped by a cafe and bakery there before continuing to our boat to take the short hop across to Korcula. Korcula is an absolute joy. We went into Old Town at the top of our stop and visited the home and museums of Marco Polo. Korcula is nothing but stunning views, delicious food and gorgeous beaches. After 2 and a half hours there, we stopped for fresh, right out of the bay while we’re eating, oysters and then went wine tasting to finish the trip off. What a wonderful experience. I highly recommend. My only complaint was coordinating the pickup at the beginning of the trip. We had to take a taxi to meet a minivan that brought us to the bus. Evidently the bus did a pickup straight from the walls of Old Town. That had more to do with the TripAdvisor agency linking the trips than the actual trip coordinators.

Tour guide Daf was polite, friendly and knowledgeable about the area and kept us informed throughout the day. We couldn't have asked for a better guide!
The day started by bring picked up from the hotel and then we saw all the coast on our way to the boat across to Korcula. Daf stopped at certain points for photo opportunities which was nice.
After the boat ride across we were left to explore for 3 hours which was plenty of time to get something to eat and wander around. Korcula is beautiful and well worth the visit.
On the way back we were treated to a wine tasting which resulted in giggly passengers on the way back after!
All in all, it was a fantastic day!!
