    According to legend, the local seamen made an oath to the icon of Madonna and Child which was found on a rock in the sea. They laid a rock in the Bay upon return from each successful voyage, and over time the small island emerged. Today, you can find the Church of Our Lady of the Rocks on the island. The church contains over 70 works of art, among them the ten-meters long, The Death of the Virgin. The island is accesible by a short boat ride. Alternatively, feel free to explore the town of Perast during your free time here.

This was a great day trip from Dubrovnik. It was great to see Montenegro. The first town is a small stop and we did take the little boat to see the little island with the church. We were the only ones in our group that did it, but we enjoyed it and I would recommend it. The guide was good and gave us a good amount of information about Montenegro overall. We had a good amount of time to spend in each of the 3 stops. I would recommend this tour for a sampling of Montenegro's coastal towns.

Loved the boat trip to the Lady of the Rock and the beautiful walled city of Kotor. Very interesting to hear about the history of the region, our guide was very knowledgeable. Would say that this is a must see tour for anyone visiting Dubrovnik

Great day trip to visit Montenegro and to have a high-level view of a few top places in the country. Kotor is a really interesting, scenic town and was my favorite part of the day.
