Saadani National Park is truly unique because it’s right on the Indian Ocean. The beautiful white sand beaches are stunning but you’re more likely to see lions or elephant on the beach than sunbathers. A wide range of grazing animals are commonly seen on game drives and walks through Saadani National Park. These include giraffe, buffalo, warthog, waterbuck, reedbuck, hartebeest, wildebeest, greater kudu, eland, sable, yellow baboon and vervet monkey along with herds of elephant and many other creatures of all sizes.

    After breakfast you’ll be picked up from your hotel in Dar Es Salaam and driven to Saadani National Park which is about a two hour drive away. On the way you’ll be able to see local villages, historical attractions and rivers including the Wami River where we’ll get on the dirt road to the park. ARRIVAL AT SAADANI NATIONAL PARK FOR GAME DRIVE:-Expect the unexpected is a good rule for your game drive in Saadani. You never know what you’ll see but your guide will be looking out for land animals like elephant, lion, giraffe, buffalo, zebra, waterbuck and sable antelope and birds like the African hornbill. There’s a good chance of spotting hippo, crocodile and a selection of marine and riverine birds, including the mangrove kingfisher and lesser flamingo, on stretches of the Wami River, and although they’re usually only spotted at dawn or dusk, the beaches here are one of the last major green turtle breeding sites on mainland Tanzania.

There were not many animals in this park. The entrance fees was too high and when we asked for a map they did not have any..but we had a nice ride in the bush..

Super séjour, court certes, mais dépaysement garanti, à 20 minutes de vol de Zanzibar, petit avion, de très belles vues, atterrissage à proximité du lodge Personnel au top, pavillon confortable, restauration de type gastro, nos meilleurs repas durant nos 15 jours en Tanzanie Nous voulions voir nos amis les animaux dans leur milieu naturel, et nous avons été comblés

We like to recommend a wonderful safari in Saadani National Park. We had the pleasure to experience this trip that was organized by Experience Zanzibar Tours and Safaris. Our guide Nestor had a broad and profound knowledge of the safari.He knew exactly when to come up with the information, and besides that he gave us ample time to look around and experience the look, smell and feel of nature and the game. He was good company and nice to talk with. Full lunch boxes were handed out at lunch time and we enjoyed a good meal at the picknic place at the view point National Park offers a lot of wildlife and is well-known for the colobus monkeys.These little animals are the mascot of the park. Whilst driving through the park we saw elefants, the zebras, giraffes, buffalos, wilde beast, antelopes etc .  We strongly recommend to go there ... off you go.....and enjoy!
