Prison Island Tour in Zanzibar is a tour, Prison island is otherwise called Changuu island, the name "prison island" came after this special island being utilized by certain Sultans of Zanzibar to keep the adamant slaves You can explore this beautiful island, which is an ideal place for a walk, on a relaxing half-day excursion from Stone Town. The view of Stone Town from the island is breathtaking especially at night. We will give you a short-guided tour around the island. After the guided tour you can swim in the crystal water or explore the glorious coral reefs by snorkeling.

I recommend trips with Mustafa. We had good time full of interesting things to see and information to learn.

As contacting Viator appears impossible I have no choice but to comment here, I paid for a full day trip and got just over 4 hours, a part of which was stopping for a drink while my guide went to pray and lunch. There was no snorkelling or beach time at all. The prison island tour and the town tour were both very good and my guide was very informative, however I could have paid half as much to just do that part of the day. !! This was a disappointing trip and very very expensive.
