Enjoy watching Giraffes and baby elephants at a close range in a safe, contained environment focused on rehabilitation and conservation. Visitors get to feed the giraffes on elevated feeding platforms which is an example of how they use their long, prehensile tongues to remove leaves from prickly acacia branches then learn and get more information about elephants and their conservation .     The next stop will be elephant orphanage which is only open from 11AM – 12Noon. Here you will learn more about the baby elephants and what led them to be orphans. You will get more information on raising them and the efforts being made to re-introduce them back to the wilderness

    Kazuri/KOBE TOUGH beads & leather The next stop visit Kazuri Bead Factory/Kobe Beads Factory. This is a pottery company that makes one of the world most beautiful beads. You will be shown all the stages from the start to the finish. It’s also a unique factory as it employs single mother parents from the poor neighborhood who earn a living to support their families. This pottery, ceramic and bead factory employs all single mothers to make its beautiful gifts and souvenirs - which are now exported all around the world. There is a gift shop which stocks some of their wares. Please note that the workshop is closed Saturday afternoon and all day Sunday, however the gift shop is open 7 day

Great tours and our guide was very nice and helpful. Had an early start but it was nice because it was not to busy at the giraffe center and the elephant orphanage was nice as well.

We had an amazing time during this tour! Our guide Wellington was very kind and knowledgeable! He answered all our questions and made sure we had a good time at every stop. The giraffe center and elephant orphanage are definitely two spots not to miss for anyone visiting Nairobi. The beads center was also a very interesting place where they do very important work for Kenyan women. Overall a great day with Wellington!
