    Starting our day, we take the lovely drive towards “Sami” Port and we board the ferry-boat to Piso- Aetos port in Ithaka.
  • Vathy, Vathy, Greece
    Our first stop is to the capital of the island, the little town of “Vathy”, where we have a stop to visit the museums & churches, go shopping and have some free time to explore & enjoy the town. Then, we board our boat for the cruise part of our excursion. Leaving "Vathy" we pass by the charming "Lazaretto" island situated in the center of Vathi bay.

  • Gidaki beach, Ithaki 283 00, Greece
    Cruising on the sparkling waters of the Ionian sea we reach the amazing little beach of "Gidaki" for our swim stop. There we spend about half-an-hour swimming, sunbathing and enjoying ourselves surrounded by crystal clear aquamarine waters and lavish green scapes.

    Continuing our excursion, we set course towards the charming “Kioni Bay” to have lunch

  • Stavros, Stavros, Greece
    After Kioni village, we take our bus again and passing by the village of Frikes, we head towards our last stop - the village of “Stavros”. There we have a stop to taste the delicious local dessert "Rovani" and admire the bust of Odysseus, the old church of “Sotiros” (Savior) as well as the beautiful “Polis Bay” a beach of great beauty. Finishing our tour, we reach back to “Piso Aetos” port for the ferry ride back to our base after a day of mythological splendor.

We enjoyed the trip very much. Ithaca has many beautiful and peaceful locations. The guide Kathy was amazing to listen and she is also a very kind soul. PS: When in Vathy do not forget to rub the Penelope's leg for luck! ????

Excellent! Visiting Ithaca for day, this is the way to do it! I’m not a big fan of bus tours but this one changed my mind. There was plenty of time in each stop to wander, swim or just sit and watch time go by. The cruise is a highlight that allows you to view Ithaca from the sea and make a beach stop. We saw several dolphins and I was lucky enough to find a piece of sea glass. The mythical history lesson was so enjoyed and well narrated. The final stop was a bit disappointing in that there just wasn’t much there other than an unremarkable history bulletin board but great ice cream. We stayed for quite a while. I’d shorten it allowing more time in one of the other villages or on the beach. Unfortunately the ferry was about 45 minutes late to pick up at the port. It wouldn’t hurt for tourism to invest in some comfortable seating, shade and fans at the port terminal. Personally, I went and put my feet in the water at the nearby beach. Not one I’d swim in given all the boat and ferry activity. Bottled water on the bus would be a nice add for passengers.

Co v helpful and timely. Loved Vathy ( great shopping) and very picturesque. Really enjoyed the boat to Kioni and the dip in the sea en route. Travelled all over the world but having lunch with a cold glass of wine by the water in stunning Kioni rates as one of my highlights. So simple but stunningly authentic Greece. A long day but I would certainly recommend a trip to Icatha with KCG.
