    A traditional regional sport, the first professional camel races were held in qatar in 1973 with 300 participating camels. Today the races are held at Al Shahaniya Camel Racing Track located at one hour of northwest of doha where you may see young camels paired with more experienced camels as a part of their ongoing training, The venue hosts both domestic and international tournaments. Visitors might get a chance to witness any of these races.

    Originally intended for defense purposes, Zekreet Fort was built entirely of faroush stones, or beach rocks. The fort followed a rectangular plan and towers were added in a later stage to its four corners to further strengthen its structure.

    Richard Serra adds the astonishing East-West/West-East sculpture to the desert landscape, taking art to the people. To him, the content of the work derives from interaction with the viewer, meaning he always has visitors in mind. He acknowledges that he can't predetermine what people will make of it.

Great tour including Camel Racing, Mushroom Rocks and the Michael Serra East to West - with a few additional stops (Zekreet Beach and Fort Ruins). Irfan was a great guide, super knowledgeable, friendly and took some great pictures.

Take out time from your busy schedule and utilize it to peacefully Enjoy and explore the west side of Qatar with Muhammad the Young and energetic Tour guide. As we reached our destination we saw the Mushroom Rocks and got really cool pictures, going on further we visited the Richard Serra Art- Four Steel Plates. On our way to the Camel Racing Track, thanks to our awesome guide we experienced beautiful sunset by the sea. Lastly while having the famous red tea we took a round of the Camel racing track and learned how they train camels. Highly recommend this tour for a peaceful get away.

professional guide services highly recommended, well organized and informative we had a great trip with Al Annabi Tours, safely pickup/ drop off from our hotel and took us for tours stop by to local cuisine
