Excursion for Whale watching in Samana bay starting from Samana port. Full day trip for whale watching in Samana bay and visiting the historical Island of Cayo Levantado plus Lunch on the beach. First, we meet in Our Office. Then the Excursion starts at 9:00 Am and Finishes at 5:00 Pm. After aborting our Catamaran or Boat to visit the Whales in their own habitat. From 9:00 Am until 12:00-noon Whale watching in the Sanctuary observatory and After this Whale trip we will visit Bacardi Island / Cayo Levantado. In Bacardi Island, Lunch Buffet from a typical Dominican Style will be provided. When lunch is finished you are allowed to swim until 4:30 pm. The excursion will be finished at 5:00 pm at the same port from where it will start.

I paid $150 for a whale watching/boating experience plus swimming excursion. I have taken many whale watching excursions in the past and this was the absolute worst. The boat was horrible for $150. It was a very small, dinky boat that was falling apart and stunk of diesel. The diesel smell was so bad that the diesel plus the rocking of the boat, led to over 10 of the 30 people vomiting. After they vomited, the vomit was left there. We were unaware that the benches were not adhered to the wall and my friend, after vomiting off the side of the boat, flew across the room when it flipped over from the rocking and he hit his head. We told two staff about the incident and they just laughed it off. I heard from other people when we were about 20min into the ride that they heard someone complain before the boat took off and they were moved to a nicer boat. I think they try to pass people off on this horrific boat to see who will put up w it. I have to say I do not blame the actual staff but instead whoever is running the excursion bc they r ripping people off and leaving the staff to deal w this nonsense.

Voir les baleines était top. Beaucoup de personnes ont vomi ce qui a écourté la balade en mer. Dommage pour ceux qui profitaient. Nous étions très proche des baleines. Super expérience. Barbara notre guide était adorable.
