Visit the unparalleled Douro Valley, the first-denominated wine region in the world and a world heritage site by UNESCO. Start at the meeting point in Porto and embark on a scenic drive around the valley. Make a short stop at a viewpoint and then visit the first winery of the day. Try some red and white wines, olive oil, and other products. Pair everything with local bread. Then, stop in Pinhão for a mini-cruise in a typical boat along the astonishing Douro Valley with all the scenic views of the Porto Wine vineyards, terraces, and wineries as a background. The journey will continue through National 222, a road with more stunning views. Stop at the 2nd winery for a typical Portuguese lunch and to learn more about the region's famous Port wine, with tastings. Finally, we will return to Porto in the late afternoon (Around 6:00 PM) NOTE: DEPENDING ON DEPARTURE TIME AND WINERIES' SCHEDULES, THE ITINERARY MAY CHANGE THE OTHER WAY AROUND

This was your typical tour of the Douro Valley. 2 wineries and a short cruise. For me, the highlight was the boat cruise. There was no tour overview - just a beautiful cruise down a placid river in beautiful country. Very peaceful and a nice break from the city. The winery tours were exactly what you would expect. Wine seemed decent and included port tastings at end. The lunch was mediocre but the setting was beautiful. The guide, Andre, was very nice and informative. Trip was well organized and professionally managed. Small van with just 8 guests so that was nice. Only nitpick was the description on Tripaadvisor, which was a little confusing, as it was not clear that it was a small group and whether lunch was included (it was). Definitely worth getting out of town and enjoying the beautiful valley. And of course it’s a great opportunity if you like trying different wines and port.

We toured 2 very old family villas, ate garden fresh appetizers and lunch and of course tasted wine & port. It was a wonderful experience.

This Premium tour was fantastic!! Van was nice, clean, comfortable. Excellent wineries & enjoyable boat tour in the beautiful Duoro Valley. Lunch at a local winery was fantastic!! One of the best things about this tour was our guide, Joel. Very informative & he was so entertaining!! I think we had the very best tour guide anyone could ask for!! A wonderful full day experience not to be missed!
