    After meeting with your tour guide, leave from Porto in a comfortable climatized vehicle and prepare for wonderfull day at the beautifull Douro Valley!
  • Lamego, Lamego, Portugal
    Having arrived to the Douro Valley and with a quick pass by the centuries old city of Lamego, we will be visiting a small family owned vineyard. Here we will have a commented wine tasting on a variety of their wines and also enjoy some wonderfull views of the terraced hills that make the Douro Valley such an unique place.

    After the visit to the first winery, enjoy a scenic drive through the world famous National Road 222, to the heart of the Douro Valley!
  • Folgosa, Folgosa, Portugal
    It´s time to visit one of the most prestigious wineries of the region, where we will tour ther enturies old estate and try a selection of their world famous Ports. Enjoy their wines, the views and the great ambiance that the place provides!

    It´s time to go for lunch now, and as we head up the hills, passing to the quaint town of Pinhão, we will have the opportunity to have some fantastic views from up the mountains, to observe the expanse of the Douro Valley Region, a true "Geological Poem"
  • Sabrosa, Sabrosa, Portugal
    Having arrived in Sabrosa we will stop at another family owned winery, where we will have a traditional portuguese lunch complete with 4 courses, entrance, salad, main dish and dessert, all paired with their delicious Douro red and white wine. For the grande finale we will visit their cellar where we will try some of their fantastic ports. After a full day of exploration and discovery, relax and enjoy your journey back to Porto!

  • This tour has two different options, with or without hotel pick up. If you choose the option with the meeting point this tour may or may not be done in a minibus or bus.
  • This tour may be done in two languages. We try to avoid it, but sometimes we have no other solution.
  • For lunch we provide meat, fish and vegan option. (We can also accomodate any dietary restriction with prior notification)
  • Private option it's done in a private vehicle only with your private guide. The vineyards and rest of the locations are shared with other participants.
  • For the ones that choose hotel pick-up, if your accomodation is not in a very easy to reach location, we might ask you to meet us at a close by location;
  • This tour last around 9 hours, but it´s subject to local traffic conditions or visit schedules;
  • Don´t forget to bring your camera with you!
  • There is not much walking involved, but please bring comfortable shoes;
  • We do tours all year round, in the winter it is cold and in the summer it's hot, please dress appropriately
  • Reschedulings with less than 24 hours before the start of the tour will be charged a 30% fee (subject to availability);
  • The order of the tour or partners visit are subject to change depending on availability;
You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.
  • For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.

Ik ging samen met een vriendin en behalve de gids vond ik de tour niet goed georganiseerd. Natuurlijk kan je hier en daar wat wijn proeven, maar we hadden verwacht dat we tenminste bij het rivier zouden kunnen zitten. We zagen het rivier van ver en kwamen niet eens dichtbij. Lunch was echt een ramp een pasta (voor Vegetariërs) met enkel beetje tomatensaus enngeen groente erin letterlijk wat je klaarmaakt voor een baby van 1. En risotto was niet goed gekookt en echt hard rijst in raar kaas niet eetbaar. Dus het eten is echt slecht en focus is op zo goedkoop mogelijk maken. We konden verder nergens eten zelf kopen. En een wijntour van 10 tot 17 is gewoon te lang besefte ik, ik ging ook om te proeven en niet om dronken te zijn eind van de dag. De begeleider was echt TOP en zeer behulpzaam en deed uiterst zijn best voor ons allen. Ik raadt deze tour niet aan als je iets van de Valei wilt zien. Wel raadt ik het aan als je hele dag wilt drinken.

Ana was an excellent guide. She was knowledgeable of the country side and the historical growing and wine making process. She was also a wonderful person to chat with making our trip even more enjoyable. The tour itself was incredible. It took only 1.5 hours from Porto to our first stop at a cafe along the river. From there the wine tasting experience was incredible. We tasted white and red ports of varying ages along with whites, roses, and reds. The views were stunning along the way and Ana stoped to make sure we could enjoy the landscapes. Also, the route was perfect; a little curvy after our first stop but smooth and easy by the end of the day. This is especially good since we were all a bit tipsy in the afternoon. A wonder trip and experience thanks to Ana. Obrigago!

The day was amazing, I learned so much from Hernand! The best wine tour I’ve ever done. Pickup location was super easy to find, lunch was delicious and all three wineries were fantastic. The van was also very comfortable which made the trip even more enjoyable. Would definitely recommend and book again in the future.
