When this cathedral was built, in the 18 th century, the general population of Dresden was protestant but its rulers were catholic. In the crypt the heart of King Augustus the Strong is buried along with the last King of Saxony and the remains of 49 other members of the Wettin family, as well as the remains of people who married into the family, such as Princess Maria Carolina of Savoy, wife of Anthony of Saxony. 20 minutes
Semper Opera House (Semperoper), Dresden, Saxony, Germany Close by we will be able to get a closer look at the beautiful Semper Opera House, regarded as one of the most beautiful European opera houses. Procession of Princes, Dresden, Saxony, Germany The best is yet to come! We shall finish our tour with a view of as the largest porcelain artwork in the world: The Procession of Princes. The mural displays the ancestral portraits of the 35 margraves, electors, dukes and kings of the House of Wettin between 1127 and 1904 and it is located on the outer wall of the Stables Courtyard of Dresden Castle. 20 minutes
