Escape to Oman’s stunning Musandam Peninsula for a dhow cruise on this full-day trip from Dubai. Traveling by air-conditioned minivan, head to Khasab in the Musandam region, and board a ‘dhow’ (Arabian wooden boat). Admire the spectacular fjords, coves and mountains that give the coastline its nickname, 'Norway of Arabia,' and stop off rocky Telegraph Island to swim and snorkel in the aquamarine seas.     mountainous region lies on the northeast tip of the Arabian Peninsula. Cross the Omani border and drive to Khasab, Musandam’s small and pretty mountain-backed capital. Here, board a traditional Omani dhow and set sail around the spectacular Musandam coastline, known as the 'Norway of Arabia' for its soaring fjords, barren mountains and turquoise waters. Enjoy complimentary soda, mineral water and fresh fruit on board, and soak up the magnificent scenery from the sunny or shaded deck areas. Keep a lookout for pods of playful dolphins in the waters around the bow. Musandam’s seas are home to significant populations of humpback and bottle nose dolphins, so there’s a good chance of sightings. Around midway through your cruise, drop anchor off the rocky islet of Telegraph Island. Take a swim or use the provided snorkeling equipment to waft through the bright blue waters among schools of angelfish, wrasse and parrot fish. Then, dig into a delicious Arabic-style buffet lunch on board. Savor dishes such as grilled chicken, pasta salads, flat breads and hummus (chickpea dip) as you bask in the setting and sunshine. In the afternoon, enjoy more time to swim, snorkel or kick back on deck. Then, relish the last views of the coastline as you sail back to Khasab. After your 6-hour cruise, bid farewell to your skipper and crew, and drive back to Dubai, where your trip ends at your hotel.

My daughter and me spent a wonderful day cruising in the Musandam fjords. The driver arrived on time early in the morning to pick up us from Dubai and he helped us with the custom's operations at the frontier. We had to wait a bit in Khasab for the cruise because the other people of the group were late but we left with the dhow maximum 20 minutes after 10 am. The cruise was really very pleasant and the guys of the boat so friendly and helping, we enjoyed every thing. We saw plenty of dolphins, had two snorkeling stops, we could swim with lots of fishes and had a good meal. On board there were fruits and beverages without any limits. We can definitely recommand this tour, thank you again to the people has hosted us on the dhow!

The staff were real pros, through and thorough. Everything went smoothly from the hotel pickup to the cruise itself and drop off in the evening. The boat crew was personable, friendly, fun, and clearly just wanted you to have a good time. Would highly recommend if you have the time.

A different experience caped by dolphins swimming alongside the Dhow.The meal served was OK too. The day was a bit too long owing to the distance travelled from Dubai and the length of the boat ride.
