Continue by 4x4 across the desert plains to the campsite in the desert and try your hand at a popular local pastime: sandboarding! Show off your balance skills on a camel ride or relax and take a seat outside to watch your show as the sun sets over the craggy canyons and sun-baked plains.   • Dress code: lightweight summer clothing is suitable for most of the year, but sweaters or jackets may be needed for the winter months, especially in the evenings. Good quality sunglasses are advised. Hats are advisable when in direct sunlight.
  • Guests visiting the UAE during the Summer months (June – September) are advised that peak daytime temperatures sometimes reach 42 – 45 degrees Celsius. Humidity levels can also exceed 90 percent during this period. We recommend all our guests to take adequate precaution.
  • The Dubai desert can get cooler in the evenings during winter, so we recommend you bring a light jacket and closed shoes. Please wear sports shoes for safe sand boarding.
  • The local tour operator reserves the right to cancel any part of the scheduled programs because of government decisions, public holidays, weather conditions, or other similar circumstances.
  • The duration of the actual tour takes 5 – 6 hour but the driving time from Dubai hotel and return may take another 60 – 90 minutes depending on traffic conditions and time of day.
  • Due to safety precaution process, please note that we will NOT be conducting "Falcon show" & 'Ayala Dance" during the Desert safari from 01 Nov 2020 until further notice.
  • During the Islamic holidays / Ramadan fasting month,there will be a restriction on live entertainment ( Belly dance , Tanoura dance) and serving alcohol throughout the UAE. Therefore the Safari will be operated without these entertainments and serving of alcohol at the camp site during these days.
You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.
  • For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.

Choosing a tour company for the desert safari can be tough , but I can't recommend this tour company enough! Firstly, as someone who gets terrible car sickness, I was completely fine – the hour-long drive to the dunes is all straight roads. We chose the private tour so I could sit in the front seat. We had a great stop at a Camel Hospital/racing track before the amazing sand bashing. We were the only car in the dunes and our driver was so skilled. He even took fantastic sunset photos of us on the dunes. The camp was beautiful! We were welcomed with drinks, Arabic coffee, fresh bread, soft drinks, and an incredible BBQ buffet. Plus, henna painting, sandboarding, and camel rides were all free! The entertainment was fantastic, broken into short, exciting segments, especially the fire and belly dancing.

We hadden een geweldige ervaring met Orient Tours. Onze gids was geweldig en zoals verwacht kent hij de weg en kon hij alles perfect timen. We gingen voor een quad-ervaring van een uur en we kwamen aan voordat de grote drukte begon te komen. Dit betekende een enorme tijdsbesparing. De quad-ervaring door de duinen was echt geweldig. Nadat we ergens ver in de woestijn waren aangekomen, kregen we de tijd om wat foto's te maken en gingen toen terug. Onze gids stond klaar om naar de volgende locatie te gaan. We stopten bij een kamelenboerderij waar we samen met de kamelen een aantal gedenkwaardige foto's maakten. Na de kamelen gingen we de duinen in voor wat dunebashen, dit was ontzettend leuk om mee te maken. Nadat we door de duinen waren gereden, stopten we 20 minuten voordat de zon onderging. Hier kregen we de kans om veel foto's te maken met de prachtige achtergrond van de ondergaande zon. Direct na zonsondergang bracht Nitin ons naar het kamp, ​​hier hebben we wat foto's gemaakt terwijl we op een kameel reden. We kwamen het kamp binnen en hadden een hele goede plek voor het podium. Onze gids hielp ons bij het begeleiden van de verschillende activiteiten die daar werden gehouden, er was zandsurfen, het maken van een aantal mooie foto's met een valk, en natuurlijk de shows die ook een geweldige ervaring waren. Tijdens de shows word er 3 kwartier pauze ingelast, en dan is er tijd om langs het buffet te gaan en nog verder te genieten van de omgeving. Onze gids was gaf ons een seintje om richting het buffet te gaan om zo de drukte voor te zijn. Na de laatste show stond onze gids ons aan de andere kant van het kamp op te wachten en bracht ons veilig terug. Wanneer u Dubai bezoekt, raad ik u aan gebruik te maken van Orient Tours. Zeer goede organisatie, je krijgt echt waar je voor betaald

Experience was great, what wasn't great was the customer service of Viator. After chatting with many people from the customer service asking for the experience I was trying to arrange and asking for a full private one, they all said it was. But when I payed and asked to the tour operator if it was a full private experience they said it wasn't. This was a business trip I never said anything about the average price per person I was willing to pay it was assumed that I wanted to pay less which force us to have an experience shared instead of a full private one.
