Traveler pickup is offered

We will be at the pier even before the time the first tender arrives. We will be waiting for you at the docking area with a sign with your name on it. Once the group is gathered we will start our tour.  After the tour, we will return you to the pier to take you back to the tender area before the ship leaves the dock.

    This is the only volcanic cone tuff quarry existing on the island. This material allowed the construction of the moai on a larger scale. Rano Raraku houses the quarry where the moai were built and from where they were moved to the ahu (ceremonial platforms) on the island.

  • Ahu Tongariki, Chile
    Located opposite to Rano Raraku this is the largest platform from all of the reconstructed on the island. The ahu Tongariki is the most imposing moai platform on the island. This altar has fifteen visible standing statues overlooking the island with their backs to the Pacific Ocean.

  • Anakena Beach, Chile
    This beach is characterized by warm turquoise waters and coral sand. It is the main beach of the island and used to be the ancestral residence of the Miru Araki royal family. The ahu Nau Nau is undoubtedly one of the most accomplished Ahu on the island because of the refinement of its moai.

  • Ahu Akivi, Chile
    One of the very few ceremonial platforms not located by the sea. Its seven moais have been restored to their standing position by the archaeologists William Mulloy and Gonzalo Figueroa along with the Rapa Nui community. These moai have the particularity of having astronomical positioning guidance and look towards the setting sun.

  • Rano Kau, Chile
    Located in the southwest side of the island the crater of this volcano is one of the most beautiful natural landscapes of Rapa Nui. With 1.5 Km large this crater is the biggest reserve of the endemic flora of Rapa Nui and it lake served as an important source of drinking water in ancient times.

  • Orongo, Chile
    O'rongo village is located on one side of the Rano Kau volcano crater. Its spectacular scenic location, its archaeological and historic relevance, the diversity and complexity of the site, make Orongo village one of the most important attractions of the island. It's one of the two main sites on the island as in this place was celebrated the Birdman ceremony. It also has a visitor reception center with a permanent interpretive exhibition.

    Usually we are weary of independent excursions during a cruise, especially when tender boats are involved, however, the tour through these guys was amazing, our landing on the island was delayed by four hours, due to weather, however, these guys patiently waited for the us, and carried out the tour according to the advertised itinerary, we had a really good time, the were well aware of the ships timings, getting us back in time for the last tender. We would not hesitate to book with them again

    Unsere Erwartungen wurden voll erfüllt. Das schöne Wetter (zwei Schauer hatten wir nur während der Fahrt im Bus) und die überaus sachkundigen Erläuterungen unserer Begleitung Kristina (Kava Kava Tours) haben maßgeblich dazu beigetragen. Die angefahrenen Besichtigungspunkte zeigen für so eine Tagestour die Kultur und die Beschwernisse der Erstellung sowie den Erhaltungsaufwand in beeindruckender Weise. Es ist schön, dass durch den Nationalpark die kulturellen Zusammenhänge gepflegt werden. Die Tour von fast acht Stunden hat sich auf alle Fälle gelohnt. Also alles nur ein positives Ergebnis.

    Our recent tour of Easter Island with Viator tours was fantastic. Sadly our ship was late docking which meant that our tour was 3 hours late starting!! We were so worried as we knew our Kava Kava tour people would be waiting for us. They were very understanding and made a big effort to ensure that we saw all the sites that had been discussed. Our guide, Nikolas, was born on the island and he not only had great knowledge about it, but he clearly loved his land. We enjoyed him relating stories and especially loved his telling of the Bird man competition while we were at Orongo. The day was brilliant - highly recommended.
