Wonderful visit to a family-owned farm to see the cacao growing/chocolate making process from start to finish. We toured the orchards seeing not only cacao but many other fruit and nut trees, trying fresh samples along the way. Following that, we followed and participated in the chocolate making process, from fermenting the cacao, to drying and shelling the beans to grinding and finally processing to chocolate. We topped the day off with a delicious lunch. The owners of the farm were engaged, and happy we were there. The tour guides were professional, helpful with the translations, and made the day a very memorable one.
