Tour guide never showed up, which told us he was not the assigned guide when tried to contact him. No guide ever showed up. Not reliable arrangements between operator and local guides. It’s a flipping coin, you might get the “great” tour as most reviews says, or you might end up guiding yourself after wasting your vacation time waiting for nobody.

BEWARE - We had a confirmed booking weeks before our trip for a private tour including the company saying they secured the timed entry tickets we wanted for the Edinburgh Castle tour. We exchanged a couple e-mails leading up to the trip and everything was looking great. Two days before the tour they e-mailed me and said they had to cancel as they didn't have any available guides for us. The odd thing was they didn't cancel the tour. It still showed as confirmed on Viator. Fortunately the next day when I realized this I was able to cancel before the 24-hour window passed and got a full, hassle free refund. I expect that if I missed the 24-hour cutoff I would have had to submit a claim and fight for a refund since I missed the cancellation cutoff. It's just odd that the company didn't cancel the booking for me. Were they hoping I didn't cancel and I'd be stuck with the payment? Anyway, beware if you are expecting this company to actually uphold their end of the deal.

Our tour guide Roxana did a great job showing us all the sites on the Royal Mile. Her stories were interesting, educational, and amusing! She was friendly and knowledgeable. We learned a lot about the history of Edinburgh and about life in the city today.
