2-Day Jacobite Experience including the Hogwarts Express from Edinburgh

This was an amazing tour that my husband and I both thoroughly enjoyed. Firstly I must comment on our driver / guide Steven B who was so organised, knowledgeable and thoroughly entertaining. We couldn’t have asked for better. The tour covered so many different places and activities with the cruise, castle visit. Colluden battle fields. We loved the trip on the Jacobite train. We went one way which was enough from our point of view. Our accommodation in Fort Augustus was also great. A fabulous tour that I would highly recommend.

This tour was one of the best experiences I've ever had, I got to experience the most "well-known" places in Scotland in just two days. Got to go all the way up to Inverness and Culloden and then go down to Loch Ness and ride the Hogwarts Express. The time for each activity was perfectly timed, I did not feel tired nor did I felt like I was all day stuck in the bus. Our tour guide, Steven B, was amazing, he was supper attentive, nice and funny. I also got to know some amazing people and got to make new friends :D

My trip was way back in May but I was telling some random stranger on the internet about this tour and I thought it would probably be decent if I gave a review. I remember the tour guide asking us to write reviews but I was lazy until this moment. I dont usually write reviews so let me tell you, that either means something very bad happened or something wonderful happened. Everything that follows is faded memories but I guess it says a lot that I remember anything. My tour guide was named Steven B. In my mind I called him B line Steven because he made sure that we were the first tour group at all of the attractions. He even squeezed in some extras! We even got to see where Steven raised his daughter! I felt like I got my money's worth. (Not because I needed to know all the places where his daughter went to school like a stalker but it was fun to hear the ordinary life of a modern scott). I felt like I got a good taste of Scotland. I loved all of the stops we made. Steven shared many wonderful stories and songs that I loved sharing with my family back home (we are descendants of a Glencoe Massacre survivor). I would highly recommend this tour for any solo individual, group, or couple. Since it was a two day trip we all grew onto each other. We were lucky and got one of the smaller coaches that Steven drove while he narrated. On a sister tour I had been on the smaller tours felt more personal. I chose the bread and breakfast off of the shores of the Loch ness. It was such a cute village and my host family was so kind. They made the cutest breakfast. I can't remember what it is called but there is a really lovely resturant that overlooks he loch that I would highly recommend if I remembered the name. Steven probably knows. I just remember that it had really good lentil soup and a great view. Thank you again Steven B for your speed and the wonderful adventure you took us on. Sorry it took so long for me to write this. But better late than never!
