Since this was our first trip to Scotland, one of the places we really wanted to see was Loch Ness (and perhaps Nessie!). We had booked a small group tour to Loch Ness previously, but the tour was cancelled 2 days before we left home, so we booked Hopscotch Travel, hoping for a more personalized experience. This tour was everything we had hoped for and more! Michael was the best tour guide! He was wonderfully friendly and informative. Michael's telling of the history of his homeland made us appreciate the beauty of Scotland, it's long history and it's people. We were impressed that Michael customized our tour experience based on what sights we had already visited during our trip. He didn't want to duplicate what others tours had done, which we greatly appreciated! Michael was always there to assist taking photos and giving us background information on all the places we visited. He managed the time well, and although we covered a lot of miles, we didn't feel rushed in the least. It was a beautiful day! Thank you so much, Michael, and Hopscotch!!

It’s a long drive but I have to say our guide was really great and made the trip really comfortable, informative and interesting. We've fulfilled a long ambition but unfortunately the Loch Ness Monster eluded us. Maybe next time!

As a Scot living far from home, I was eager to show my American wife a view of Scotland that would make me proud, and Hopscotch did not disappoint. The trip was led by our tour guide Michael - a fountain of knowledge for all things historic and local. His commentary really helped frame the trip in a way that simply driving would not accommodate. The whole experience left my wife awestruck at Scotland's beauty and depth, whilst it filled me with new pride as a Scotsman. I cannot recommend this tour company more highly. My one piece of advice would be to leave the AirPods at home, sit back and relax and let Hopscotch do the rest.
