    Craigie's farm is a 30 minute drive from Edinburgh city centre. This is a working farm that has Highland Cows that love carrots as treats. There's also a farm shop and cafe where you can grab a coffee and/or a bite to eat to take on the go.

    A 90 minute drive will take us to the 'foot steps' of the Highlands and the beautiful village of Luss nestled on the banks of Loch Lomond, overlooking the Ben Lomond munro. Apart from stunning views of Luch Lomond, Luss is a place steeped in history, and here you can find an extremely rare Viking Hogback gravestone. There's a couple of gift shops, toilet facilities and places for refreshments.

    Only 30 minutes away and at over 800 feet, this mountain viewpoint is a great stop for some beautiful photos of the stunning mountain scenery.

  • Inveraray Castle, Inveraray, United Kingdom
    Only a 30 minute drive away is the iconic Inveraray Castle, one of the few castles in Scotland still used as a residence, (Duke & Duchess of Argyle) this is the seat of the Clan Chief of Clan Campbell. Open Thursday to Monday, the castle grounds are freely open to the public (there is a charge if you wish to enter the castle) or there’s Inveraray town with plenty of options for lunch and views of Loch Fyne. The Castle closes for winter from November to March, but the grounds are still open to the public.

    A 30 minute drive takes us to Kilchurn castle, used by the English army as a formidable barracks for over 200 years and surrounded by water on 3 sides – a great place for photos.

    A 60 minute drive through the Glencoe mountain range will take us to the famous Three Sisters Viewpoint. This is the most photographed place in Scotland - and you will understand why once we get there! Full of breathtaking beauty and full of poignant history, this is a site you will never forget.

Today we took the Private Tour of the Highlands from Edinburgh with George. He was kind and thoughtful in bringing drinks and snacks as it was a full day. George was very knowledgeable of the history of the Highlands. He provided us the time we needed to visit each site. Some of the sites we visited were : Three Sisters Mountains (awe inspiring views) , Village of Luss, Loch Lamond, the Inverary Castle, Kilchurn castle, St. Conan’s Kirk church on the banks of Loch Awe built by Walter Cambell for his mother, the Kelpies, and so much more, and of course we fed the Highland Coos! It was such a wonderful day! Be prepared for winding roads as Scotland is a beautiful country where the Highlands are created from volcanos many many years ago so the roads wind around the countryside. This was not an issue for us at all! George navigated the roads and traffic very well. Thank you so much George for making this a trip we will never forget!!! See you again in 2024 when I bring my clan back :)

Seeing the Kelpies, the churches, the beautiful scenery. Our driver was informative, he adjusted the tour to our likes and preferences.
