Very informative small group tour. There were 12 in our group and we were all given excellent audio devices so we could hear our guide clearly. Our guide, Margaret Ann, was terrific. Very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The tour operator, Mercat, offer a portable stool if requested in advance. The stool was very helpful as there is a lot of standing. We went in April. It was chilly so bring gloves and wrap up well. Highly recommend this walking tour to get a true flavor of the history of Edinburgh

My wife and I recently had the great pleasure to take a tour in Edinburgh with Mercat. Our guide, Linda, was beyond outstanding. She was extremely informative, clever and witty, and made the experience a lot of fun. We learned things about the Royal Mile and the immediate areas around it, that we would never otherwise know. Linda took the time to speak to us, one on one when possible, and was candid but in a very diplomatic way. We could not have asked for a better guide or had a better experience. I recommend Mercat, and especially Linda, as highly as possible.

What a fun way to learn about Edinburg! Nicky is a fabulous guide who entertained us with history of the town and the ppl. Great way to spend the afternoon.
