Temple of Karnak, Luxor, Egypt After arriving from Hurghada, we will first visit famous Karnak Temple! The Karnak Temple is Egypt's largest temple, and its ruins can still be seen today.
The Karnak Temple, which was constructed between 2200 and 360 BC by several pharaohs, includes the great temple of Amun, as well as other smaller temples, chapels, and the great sacred lake. Hatshepsut, Seti I, Ramses II, and Ramses III were the most powerful pharaohs involved in its construction. 90 minutes
Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari, Luxor, Egypt After the Karnak temple, we will visit the temple of one of the most interesting rulers of Egypt - Queen Hatshepsut!
The architect Sennenmut designed the Temple of Hatshepsut, also known as the Temple of Deir el-Bahari. It was founded in honor of Hatshepsut, Egypt's only long-reigning female pharaoh. It was constructed between the seventh and twenty-first years of her reign, with a part excavated in the rock and three terraces on the outside. 60 minutes

Valley of the Kings, Luxor, Egypt After lunch, we will continue our visit to Valley of the Kings.
The Valley of the Kings is an Ancient Egyptian necropolis where many of the New Kingdom's pharaohs are buried; more than 60 tombs cut into the rocks have been found.
The valley was once known as "Ta Iset Maat," which means "place of truth." King Tuthmosis I, of the 18th dynasty, was the first pharaoh to be buried in the Valley of the Kings. 90 minutes
Colossi of Memnon, Luxor, Egypt At the end of our tour, we will visit Colossi of Memnon. The Colossi of Memnon are two huge statues of Amenophis III that guarded his funerary temple in Luxor, on the Nile's west bank.

Luxor was the best excursion I did whilst in Egypt. This was mainly due to the tour guide, Mohammed, who was amazing. He knows what he’s talking about and answers any questions. Very very clear and good communication throughout the trip (even the day before). Everything went as planned. The buffet food was nice and the trip in the bus was tolerable due to the great drivers on board.

Trip started off poorly when the day we initially booked onto was cancelled, and we were only notified at 5:30am after already getting up and waiting 30 minutes for the transfer. However, the trip took place the following day and absolutely made up for it. The experience was incredible, and the tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and was able to convey some complex Egyptian history in a way that made sense to everybody. The heat in Luxor is incredible and strongly recommend people both dress sensibly and take a good level of water with them. The small size of the group (ours was 6), meant it was very easy to always hear what the guide was saying and meant it felt far more personal (we saw some tour groups of 20+ and they couldn't hear anything).
We always double-check the availability with our local partners for each booking. Even though this is usually a swift process, it can take up to 24 hours. Once this process is completed you will receive your voucher or ticket by email. If our local partner is not able to confirm your booking we will offer you the best possible alternative. If the new date and/or time doesn’t fit your itinerary, we will reimburse the full amount paid.
