Today was my first day of a three day tour. My guide Mimo and the driver Gad picked me up early morning. We did a tour of the museum, citadel, old Cairo, religious square and finished up with an authentic Egyptian lunch. Mímo was great. Very knowledgeable and well versed in the English language. He will take you around the Mindy interesting áreas in Cairo. At the museum he will show you the most important pieces of art and answer any question about snitching regarding ancient and modern Egyptian history. In all great first day. Looking forward to see the pyramids tomorrow.

We really enjoyed this tour with Mustafa who just blew me away with his wealth of knowledge and info on the history of Egypt! The pyramids were just awe inspiring and his commentary through the Egyptian museum made it all the more fascinating! I have to say the vehicle seemed a little shabby but our driver Ahmed did pull out his license and registration to prove that it was a 2019 vehicle .... I guess that’s what the crazy traffic of Egypt does to even brand new cars.... unfortunately we ended up cancelling our third day which was supposed to be Alexandria as my husband got sick but they so graciously offered to switch it to a dinner cruise on the Nile at no extra cost although we had to decline as hubby couldn’t get out of bed! I really do appreciate Mustafa taking us to see so many sights in just two days and even though we did stop at that tacky papyrus museum where they put the sales pitch on us as well as the cartouche jewelers where they really tried to sell us something , by half way through the day Mustafa caught on that we really didn’t want to buy stuff so he didn’t make any further “sales stops” and the rest of the two days was spent enjoying the sights ! I did see some crap reviews on here for some of the other tour guides but I really recommend requesting Mustafa he was a great guide and a really great person to hang with for the days out!

This was our first trip to Egypt and we wanted to see as many highlights as possible. We booked the 3 day guided tour and Wow we really seen everything we wanted. Our guide Mustafa was very knowledgeable about everywhere we visited and knew his history. Also he was very positive and we felt we were taken care of beyond the level we had expected. I also want to add that our driver Ahmed was incredible, if you ever come to Egypt I suggest not driving here. From our personal experience I would definitely recommend Explore Egypt Tours and highly recommend Mustafa as your guide.
