Visiting the pyramids is the staple of a trip to Egypt. There are a lot of options to visit, including going on your own. We used Hesham’s tours and it was well worth it. We chose the half day tour, which is about the right amount of time. Our guide Mina was excellent. He explained a lot more of the history and significance to make the visit meaningful. One thing that’s helpful is he did the explaining first, then let us explore. We also chose to do a 35 minute camel ride, which takes you a long the back side. This is not part of the tour, and Mina offered us all the options with no pressure, and he set it up for us. To me, this was really worth it because you move away from the crowds. Mina also took all out photos so you don’t get trapped into paying others to do it. We used Hesham’s tours several times in Cairo and had a great experience each time. Definitely recommend this service for private, attentive service to make your stay easier. Note: we had additional tour with Hesham that was cancelled because of weather issues (not by Hesham) and he refunded our money immediately-no arguing. Check carefully as you look for options because this can be a problem in Egypt.

Tour was excellent! Our guide, Ibrahim, was an absolute gentleman, full of good advice and knowledge that bought history to life for our young children (5 and 10). The driver Ahmad was excellent too. Lovely afternoon!
