I'm not the kind of person who bothers to write reviews—but this is an exception.
Our Nile cruise was a last-minute decision. After some browsing online, I contacted several agencies—including Luxor and Aswan Travel. Mr. Naser Mahmoud replied quickly and answered all my questions clearly—pricing, cabin class, itinerary—and made thoughtful suggestions based on my preferences.
Honestly, I must have been a headache to deal with: I asked a million questions, changed my mind constantly, couldn’t make a decision, and contacted a few agencies at the same time. One agency couldn’t even tell me the name of the exact ship I’d be on! Land tours just sounded too exhausting.
In the end, we made our decision the day before our flight—based on Mr. Naser's suggestion. He handled everything, despite it being so last-minute. We got a mid-level cabin on a higher deck, and he provided the exact name of the boat in advance.
When we traveled from Soma Bay to Luxor, our InDrive appointment got completely messed up—wrong driver, an hour late, no English spoken, and we had no idea where we were going. We were flying down the desert highway at 180 km/h, and honestly, I was pretty nervous. I messaged Mr. Naser—it was early in the morning, but he got back to me right away. He helped sort everything out, including our request to make a quick stop at Dendera Temple on the way.
When we finally arrived, he met us in person at the cruise port. All his “revenge” on the chaos was delivered with the precision of a millisecond-German stare (lol). He personally escorted us to the boat and took care of the check-in while we relaxed with welcome drinks. Imagine the relief after such a wild morning!
And the guide he arranged for us—Mr. Ahmed Helmy Ali—was an absolute wonder. I’ve never seen anyone so passionate. His love for ancient Egyptian civilization was truly inspiring. Those five days felt like a journey back in time—it was magical. Everything came vividly and beautifully alive through his storytelling.
My husband and I are both deeply interested in ancient Egypt and hieroglyphs. Mr. Ahmed joked that by the end of the trip, we’d be writing poetry in hieroglyphs. Sadly, we couldn’t—but we did learn so many characters. It truly felt like a crash course in Egyptian history.
Later, when we visited the Cairo Museum, we realized just how much we’d absorbed. We weren’t clueless anymore—we recognized the gods, understood their stories, and appreciated everything so much more.
Many thanks to Mr. Naser and Mr. Ahmed. You both made our Nile cruise absolutely magical. This Egypt trip was the best trip of my life. We learned so much and met such wonderful people. We’ll be back!
