There is so much to do and see in Egypt. I highly recommend this tour guide group. We were meet at every entrance to ensure our safety and comfortability. As of May 2024, you are unable to exchange American currency for Egyptian pounds in any of the airports. Our first driver took us to an ATM, checked the location (with us standing there). He didn't feel right about it so we went to another one. We received history from everyone from the tour guide company. There were no unanswered questions. If it was on the list to do, we did it. The hot air balloon ride may change according to the weather, which is not something they can control (safety first). The overnight train ride does make many stops (but it's a train). I recommend upgrading to first class for the small amount of money they ask for. You will want the A/C in Egypt. The days start early (some times with a 3am or 4am) wake up call. It's to get you out of the heat before it's unbearable. Most of the Nile boat travel is at night so get your pictures when you return from your daily tours. We opted for a couples massage on the boat. The boat is a smaller version of an American cruise ship (we know the cost of a massage on them). Our couples massage was $50.00 per person. So worth it as you do a lot of walking on the tours. Wear comfy shoes you don't mind getting sand in. The food was well prepared. I felt bad for the tipping but our tour guide gave us amounts that were well suited for tipping. We had $100 for tipping for 8 days (other than our main tour guide). It was more than enough. Every one was kind and courteous. Very respectable. May is the end of their season as the temperatures continue to rise. I would suggest going prior to this as many things will start closing. Buy your water and snacks at the markets. Water was around .85 for a liter. If possible, request Ahmed. He's the best.
