Alexandria was an interesting city. I think it’s pretty far for a day trip, which is not the fault of the tour company. But I would not choose to do this again from Cairo. Our guide was great, he had so many interesting things to say. I think his name was Momo. The ruins and cistern were really cool. We got to go inside the mosque during prayer time. Men and women have to use separate entrances and you will be asked to tip the shoe guy. Anyway, great tour but it was a lot of car time.

The service provided was very good. The manager got in contact, shared his whatsapp number and qas very supportive. A car with a good driver was sent and I met the guide at Alexandria. He had a lot of knowledge about the city and made me very comfortable in asking questions or wanting to see anything different than planned. As it is a private tour and I am a woman travelling alone in Egypt, I was worried for my safety but it all went very well. I recommend

The Alexandria tour was a last minute decision to book. We were picked up at 7am, the driver was friendly and we stopped off at a service station half way. When we arrived, we picked up the guide and went straight to the catacombs which were incredible. The amphitheatre was also great! We stopped at the mosque and museum and took photos of Alexander the Great and Pompeys column. Our final stop was the library which was nice to see. Then we had lunch, our guide (Mo) couldn't have been more flexible on what we wanted to eat and gave us a choice of food and venue, he sat and chatted with us while we ate. The drive back was smooth and we arrived back at our hotel at about 6pm. Would recommend seeing what Alexandria has to offer!
