Temple of Horus, Edfu, Egypt Your Nile Holiday tour guide will pick you up from your hotel in Luxor to visit the temples of Edfu and Kom-Ombo and then Aswan high dam and the Philae Temple. Start with transfer to Edfu Temple is considered to be the best preserved cult temple in Egypt. Dedicated to Horus the falcon headed god which according to the Egyptian myths, it was the place where the falcon-headed god Horus revenged the murder of his father Osiris by killing Seth. The present structure dates from the Ptolemaic period (332 - 30 B.C.) and is remarkable in that it is the only known temple ever to have been completed in ancient Egypt. 90 minutes
Temple of Kom Ombo, Kom Ombo, Egypt Drive on to the temple of Kom Ombo standing on high grounds overlooking the Nile. Unlike most ancient Egyptian temples, is dedicated to two gods, the crocodile god Sobek and the falcon god Haroeris “Horus the Elder”. The temple is atypical because everything is perfectly symmetrical along the main axis. The existing temple was begun by Ptolemy VI Philometor (180–145 BC) and continued under later rulers, most notably Ptolemy XIII (47-44 BC), who built the inner and outer hypostyle halls.
At one time crocodiles basked on the River banks. A few of the some 300 mummified crocodiles found here are on display in the small on-site Crocodiles museum. 60 minutes
Aswan High Dam, Aswan, Egypt Lunch will be served at a good quality restaurant in Aswan and then proceed to visit the Aswan High Dam, a rock fill dam built across the Nile in Aswan, between 1960 and 1970 with the aim to regulate the Nile River flooding, to store the water for agriculture and to generate hydro-electric power. 30 minutes
Temple of Philae, Aswan, Egypt Enjoy a short motor boat ride to Philae Temple Island, the most ancient structure in the Island was the temple of the Goddess Isis, ordered by the native Pharaoh Nectanebo I (380-362 BC). With many traces of Roman work most notable in the Kiosk of Emperor Trajan (98-117 ad). The temple complex was dismantled and moved to nearby Agilkia Island as part of the UNESCO Nubia Campaign project, before the 1970 completion of the Aswan High Dam. Enjoy a guided tour and then free time at leisure. 90 minutes
Aswan, Aswan, Egypt Afterwards you will have free time enjoy a walking tour in Aswan Souk or Sit at the café shop and enjoy the local pass by, waiting for your train to Luxor at 18:00 or 19:00 - train ride (almost 3 hours)

The trip was very well organised and everything was provided as promised. We had taken a 10 day trip on Egypt including Cairo, Alexandria, Aswan, Luxor including a Nile river cruise of 3 nights. It was a wonderful experience and very comfortable at every step of the trip.

Mr Khaled from Nile Holiday is a very friendly person and took care of us in all our visit to Egypt, we went on a familiar trip for 5 nights / 6 days and from day one of our trip until last day, he and his team help us with absolutely everything, I heard in the past some excellent recommendations from this company, but being there with Nile Holiday and their awesome team, is a complete exciting experience and I have no words to thanks him for this amazing trip.
We were in a lot of places, Giza, Luxor, Aswan, Museums, a lot of temples, markets, we knew a lot about the country and the people, and in every place we felt really safe and happy with the people guiding us through all the travel.
I really hope to be back there with my family and, for sure, we will planning the trip with this amazing team from Nile Holiday and specially with Mr Khaled, because we had more than a 5 stars trip, we had a really lifetime experience!!
Thanks everyone for attending me and my family on this awesome trip!

My friend and I used services from Nile Holiday in Luxor for our 3 night Nile cruise from Aswan to Luxor. Mr. Khaled, the tour manager was very responsive to our requests. He got us a room on the 3rd floor. Mr. Hesham, the tour guide was at the airport when we arrived at Aswan airport. Hesham has a good sense of humor and provided us great tours to temples and tombs and shared with us knowledge about Egyptian culture and people. The cruise is ( MS travita) is a bit old but staff are great, very friendly and dedicated. Food is ok.
