Dolphin House and Banana Boat Fun from Hurghada

Get picked up from your hotel and taken to the harbour where you go out to see the dolphins and have snorkelling. The captain goes out of his way to find the dolphins didnt get chance to swim as current wasn't safe to enter the water, lunch and drinks was provided during the trip.

We didn’t see dolphins because it was too windy for that And the tour had to be stopped after about two thirds, but for that there was a voucher to repeat the tour again. Snorkeling, boat trip and atmosphere were quite outstanding.

Fabulous family day out, with friendly, professional and accommodating staff from start to finish. I booked this for us 6 adults via Trip Advisor and was contacted by Ahmed via WhatsApp to advise on the itinerary and to confirm costs, his messages were clear and helpful. Ahmed arrived promptly in a clean, air conditioned minibus with WiFi, snacks and cold drinks and drove us safely to the marina where he ensured that we had well fitting mask, snorkel and fins. The boat “Freedom” was staffed by Adam and his team who explained the itinerary and safety briefing. Within 30 minutes of setting off we spotted dolphins and about 10 minutes later we were swimming with them! It’s fair to say that the dolphins weren’t frolicking with us all like some photos might suggest but to be in the warm sea, snorkelling and seeing wild dolphins in their natural habitat beneath us was exhilarating regardless. This element does require a good standard of swimming, literally jumping in from the back of the boat and swimming to try to reach the dolphins before they move away. We had a few goes of this, with the captain skilfully navigating us to an area close enough to the dolphins without disturbing them. Shortly after this we were at a large coral reef where we enjoyed the opportunity to snorkel in a more leisurely way. For all water activity there were multiple English speaking crew in the water with us, offering a float to those who needed it and with lifejackets available for anyone who wanted one. A freshly cooked, delicious lunch followed the reef snorkel. Throughout the trip we had limitless soft drinks plus coffee. After lunch we snorkelled at another coral reef then finished the trip with a really fun ride on a sofa float, towed at speed by a small motorboat. If you’re undecided on this trip, don’t hesitate, book it! Whether you’re a swimmer or not you will marvel at the beautiful nature of this area and will not be disappointed with Ahmed and the boat crew who took great care to ensure that everyone had a wonderful, memorable day.
