My wife and I took two teen boys on this fabulous trip, and we're glad that we arranged it through Egyptoria. My wife usually plans out our trips, and she was planning this one, until a friend suggested contacting Tom at Egyptoria. He used my wife's plans as a template, so we saw the sights we wanted to see. He adjusted his standard hotels a bit for our budget, and we had the trip of a lifetime!
A rep in suit and tie met us almost as soon as we got off the plane (at 1:00 AM). He helped us fill out the government forms, pay the visa fees, gathered our luggage, helped us clear customs, delivered us to the hotel and made sure we were checked in. That level of service never stopped, and a guide or a company rep was with us throughout our travels. They even picked us up at the last hotel and delivered us to the airport (which was only a mile away from the hotel).
One of the company owners met us at our hotel the first morning, introduced us to the first of our professional guides, and sent us on our way for the first of our three days in Giza/Cairo. Our tour included a flight to Aswan, tours of Abu Simbel, several sights along the drive from Aswan to Luxor, tours of the temples at Karnak and Luxor, the Valley of the Kings, and another long drive to Hurqada where the boys could just relax at the beach for a couple of days.
College educated professional guides made sure we got the most out of each tour, but also left us with sufficient time to explore a little on our own. Each of the boys had a minor health issue at some point during the trip, and the guides showed personal concern. They adjusted the planned itinerary a bit, so the boys missed as little as possible, and they guided us during a visit to a store for an over the counter medication. That level of service really made a difference for us, and we're so glad that we weren't on a "big bus" tour.
