From Hurghada: Sharm El Naga Full-Day Snorkeling Tour

I booked on Get your Guide. Pick up was on Time, friendly german speaking guide, just as requested. Vehicle was a private car with air conditioning. The guide explained the area and was always near us for questions, otherwise we could decide when we go snorkeling or just relax . The destination (Sharm El Naga) seems to be a bit outdated and could use renovations , i am guessing that maybe some time after covid it'll get an overhaul. The trash from the restaurant was stashed near the seating area, sometimes you could smell it. Food was very good, especially the fish. Staff was friendly. The beach in general was clean, but further in the water was some trash/plastic in the snorkeling area. The 'sand' was mostly shells, corals, small stones, gravel. The Reef was quite big and nice, didnt seem as dead as most other ones we have seen. There were plenty of colourful fish of all sizes which were very calm and actually came quite close to us. We enjoyed. Overall nice place, which probably suffered without guests/tourists during covid, great snorkeling experience and good food.

A big step up from any hotel beach I’ve ever been on. Incredible cushioned beds and huge umbrellas - I slept like a baby with no worries if I’m in the shade or not - great! Wasn’t crowded at all and really peaceful. No mass tourism - felt like only a chosen few knew about it which I enjoyed. That being said, I haven’t been as wowed by the wildlife as sone of the pictures suggest. I believe you would really have to do an actual diving course for that. I personally just went snorkeling with my little GoPro and had a classic beach day. The corals are underwater cliffs which are stunning to look at - and you can swim above smaller coral formations. I just didn’t see that many fish. Maybe they were tired that day - that’s nature haha I did enjoy the lunch they served, however my stomach didn’t agree with that… took a pill a day later and all was fine again. Nothing serious! We got served canned Name brand drinks for free. Another great tipp is the souvenir shop which has a nice selection and the best prices in Egypt. Honestly great value for money. I’d like to mention that the driver was the best on any excursion in Egypt I’ve ever had. Super fun and laid back guy and really flexible when it comes to times and arrangements. Customer service! I’d say if you’re fine with spending the money, do it! I liked the excursion but it’s not an absolutely do it every damn time you’re even close to Egypt type of deal. Also like to mention they’re currently building a huge hotel complex there. This little oasis away from mass tourism is sadly going to be less of a supertip sadly
