We decided on the mini bus trip as this was a small group, we had an extremely knowledge English speaking guide. We were picked up from our hotel at 5am, we first visted the tombs including Tutankhamen wow how amazing. Lunch was included at the Steinberger Hotel on the Nile afterwards we had a short boat trip across the Nile which was fabulous, we then went on to the Valley of the Kings and Queens totally breath taking. An amazing day most definitely recommend

Goed verzorgde privetour voor 2 personen met comfortable Hyundai Sedan.Chauffeur die bezig is Nederlands te leren en Engelssprekende gids. Voordeel: met een auto rijd je sneller naar Luxor dan met een bus met een groepstour. Dat betekende dat we overal min of meer als eerste waren en als wij de site verlieten stroomde het buspubliek binnen. Gids en chauffeur waren correct, vriendelijk en niet pushy richting commerciele stops. Dat kwam erg prettig over. Goede uitleg bij de diverse sites. Goede prijs/kwaliteit verhouding!

We hebben samen met onze chauffeur Amre en een lokale gids in Luxor een mooie dag gehad. De tempel van Karnak, de tempel van Hatsjepsoet en de tombes in de vallei van de koningen hebben we bezocht. Ook hebben we gevaren op de Nijl. De gids vertelde op een plezierige manier de achtergronden en belangrijke feiten. Hij liet ons de mooiste plekken zien en had verstand van zaken. Ook op de vraag waarom Cleopatra zo bekend is in de historie, kon hij een antwoord geven. Zo bleken er een heleboel Cleopatra’s te zijn geweest, echter de laatste was er erg knap en getrouwd met Julius Caesar en met Marc Anthonius. Al met al een fijne dag en een goed verzorgde privé excursie.
