The museum was inaugurated in 1902 by Khedive Abbas Helmy II, and has become a historic landmark in downtown Cairo, and home to some of the world’s most magnificent ancient masterpieces.

Fantastic tour with Doaa!! Tour was informative about artifacts and history within the Egyptian Museum. Doaa was friendly and helped me feel safe in the Khan al-Kalili market as a solo traveler. She was flexible to my preferences and even bartered a deal for golden berries in the market! Recommend!

The tour was very good. The guide was knowledgeable and kind. He showed us the key features of the museum and explained them very well as well as giving us free time to look at items we wanted to. The driver was very good at driving and was funny. would definitely recommend!
