Decorated with imagery of his mother, his wife, and the God Hapi, the statues are 18 meters high and 720 tons each, and both are carved from single blocks of sandstone.

The Sphinx Avenue between Karnak temple and Luxor temple was to serve the professional way of the opet Festival from Karnak to Luxor temple and to determine the land road to the entrance of the temple. It is composed of 2 rows of human-headed sphinxes, each is carved from a single block of sandstone and placed on a rectangular base.

In 2019 I had the same tour with my brother. In 2023 I came back to Luxor and had to do it again with a friend of mine. The full day tour with Daniel the guide is worth every penny, as he covers everything you need to know or you want know. Included is are entrance fees, lunch, water and even a boat trip. On our full day tour we visited Valey of the Kings, Medinet Habu or Habu Temple and Karnak Temple. But you can also vary and chose the Temple of Hatshepsut or Luxor Temple. There is so much to so, you better book two full days with Daniel. Daniel organized us a Balloon tour and a Pyramids tour in Cairo as well. Don't hesitate and

Daniel did a very nice, well organised tour of the main sightseeing points in Luxor. He is very well read and knowledgable regarding the topics of ancient egypt and also very nice and easy to be around. We will surely choose him again! The chosen restaurants were delicous and offered a great variety of food, also the driver was always on time and provided a clean and safe ride! Highly recommended!
