Siamo stati accompagnati dall’hotel alle piramidi. Sono stati puntuali, siamo italiani ma non abbiamo avuto guida italiana. Il giro alle piramidi è stato soddisfacente, il giro in cammello un po’ meno: era concordato un giro di 30 minuti mentre noi ne abbiamo fatto 10. Siamo stati poi portati nella fabbrica del papiro e degli oli egiziani, ma semplicemente non erano nè fabbriche nè musei ma negozi dove obbligatoriamente dovevamo acquistare i loro prodotti. Le mance non sono a discrezione, bensì vengono chieste. Bisognrebbe cambiare il modo di fare questo tipo di visite ed evitare di spillare soldi ogni passo che si fa.

Medhat and the driver Saïd were punctual, attentive and made sure I had an excellent experience. They took me to the pyramids, sphinx, camel ride and the bazaar shopping in particular was great - lots of unique, high-quality Egyptian crafts such as Egyptian oil, papyrus paper art pieces, jewelry and clothing. I would recommend this experience for someone who does not have a ton of time in Cairo and would like to do a lot in Giza in one day. Only wish we had more time for the museum, but hope to be back! Thanks Medhat and Saïd :-)
