He was the fifth son of Ramesses III and was appointed to the position of crown prince by the twenty-second year of his father's reign when all four of his elder brothers predeceased his promotion to crown prince . The tomb has so much colour and detail even the ceiling above the sarcophagi with its goddess Nut stretching across the space. The sarcophagus is one of the largest in the valley, even though some of the paintings have deteriorated this is one of the most decorated.

This was our first trip to Africa, Egypt, etc. we are world travelers but anyone who has been to this neck of woods knows, it can be a little confusing. So we looked on TripAdvisor for a highly rated tour company. That’s when I came across Luxor Travels. I booked the tour for the Valley of the Kings somewhat last minute. Luxor Travels immediately sent a confirmation and explained what to expect. Very clear and amazing communications! Next, our tour guide Hassan reached out to me via WhatsApp. I let him know we would be landing from Cairo at 8:45am instead of early (private tour was slated for 8am). Hassan put our worries aside with his easy going attitude. No problem, we start when we get there he reaffirmed! Luxor Travels and Hassan also rearranged pickup and dropoff from the air port last minute. We did have to walk outside the gates on pickup because we didn’t give Luxor Travels enough time to get authority for airport pickup. But communications were absolutely excellent and it was easy. The van was air conditioned. The driver drove safe. Hassan was so cheerful and friendly. His passion for Luxor (his home as well), really shined throughout the full day as he was teaching us so many things about the tombs. Not only was he very informative but he really made the whole tour fun. He educates, he jokes, and you really feel as if you are making a friend as well. After an excellent trip in the Valley of Kings (he did a great job recommending which tombs were worth looking at and what order to conserve your energy), he recommended for a reasonable fee to see Karnak and Luxor temples. We were hesitant at first, but he really sold them with his passion. He said, “seriously.. you came all this way and you aren’t going to want to miss the temples. They are amazing.” I’m so glad he did, they are INCREDIBLE! I saw the Greek Necropolis in January, and those ruins didn’t hold a candle to these massive ruins!!! Do not miss out on them. The towering statues, colorful writings on the walls were mind blowing. In between the Valley of Kings and the temples, we had lunch at a local restaurant. They took great care of us and the food was delicious. I recommend the kofta or beef. The chicken was slightly dry for my liking. Overall, I cannot recommend Luxor Travels and Hassan enough. (request Hassan if he’s available!!!!!). Hassan created memories for a life time. We didn’t go through TripAdvisor for the pyramids of Giza outside Cairo. They tried to scam us with insane tips (80 usd more than the norm, luckily I caught on and did quick research). Luxor Travels is very legit. Hassan is fun, professional, and very knowledgeable!! Don’t miss out!

Amazing tour!!! Khalid was an amazing tour guide. He was very informative about Egyptian history, the tombs, and all the sites. We were so impressed with all the information made visiting the tombs so much more worthwhile!!! Highly recommend this tour with Khalid.

Hassan was an exceptional tour guide. Very knowledgeable and passionate about Egyptian history. The mini bus was nice, and Hassan made sure we were comfortable and understanding throughout the tour. I would definitely recommend the hot air balloons!!! Big highlight. Very pleased with Hassan’s service and the West Bank tour.
