This is the 2nd time we booked an excursion with Essential Egypt Experiences and like last time, everything was beautifully worked out and planned in detail. The guide was friendly and very passionate about his work. For us it is a no brainer to only book excursions with Essential Egypt Experiences again.

Die Fahrt vom Hotel nach Luxor und wieder zurück hat sehr gut funktioniert, das Mittagessen war auch lecker. Der Guide hat uns am Karnak Tempel empfangen. Er war Archäologe und historisch gut ausgebildet. Beim Karnak Tempel hat er ca. 20 Minuten über Geschichtliches gesprochen und dann hatten wir 30 Minuten Zeit, um uns umzuschauen. Danach sind wir zum Tal der Könige gefahren. Wir wissen nicht was passiert ist, aber der Guide war ab da wie ausgewechselt. Er hat uns maximal 2-5 Minuten oberflächliche Informationen über die Gräber gegeben und dann sollten wir alle 3 Gräber alleine anschauen. Währenddessen war er Kaffe trinken und wir sind in brütender Hitze ohne Informationen in den Gräbern rumgelaufen und hätten uns über seine Begleitung sehr gefreut. Er hatte einfach überhaupt keine Lust mehr und das haben wir gemerkt! Wir waren sehr enttäuscht, da wir stundenlang nach Luxor gefahren sind, um möglichst viel über die Historie zu erfahren. Danach wurden wir in eine Werkstatt gebracht und sollten etwas kaufen, was wir nicht gemacht haben, da wir von seiner Lethargie sehr genervt waren! Als Tourist kommt man sich auf solchen Ausflügen oft veräppelt vor. Wir geben immer gerne und gut Trinkgeld, aber irgendwie sollte der Guide es doch schaffen, die kurze Zeit bei Laune zu bleiben. Man kann also sagen, dass die Tour sehr gut begonnen hat und dann wirklich seltsam wurde durch den lethargischen Guide. Die Sehenswürdigkeiten sind dennoch überwältigend! Mit dem Guide kann man eben Glück oder Pech haben …

Our driver was super! His name is Ahmed was a very nice and comfortable ride. Also our Guide was very nice and explained it well. Plenty of your own free time too
