My wife and I were genuinely looking forward to visiting the Giza Pyramids, especially since we thought we had booked with Travel Trend Egypt, which we thought a reputable travel agency that had great reviews !!! Unfortunately, our tour of the pyramids and the museum turned out to be the most disappointing part of our entire trip to Egypt.
The guide showed up 30 minutes late, not the end of the world, but it quickly became clear he was inexperienced. The visit to the pyramids felt extremely rushed. We were pressured into taking a camel ride, which we had to pay for upfront, and then were asked to tip the camel handler, making the total cost 50 pounds for just 10 minutes.
After that, we were herded into shops and pushed to buy overpriced items. When I showed some interest in a piece of papyrus art, I was immediately escorted to the cashier, and the whole situation felt forced and uncomfortable. I tried to express how I felt to the guide, but he just kept nodding awkwardly and saying, “It’s okay,” without actually addressing the issue.
We ended up spending less than 30 minutes at the museum, and the day concluded with a really poor lunch, overcooked rice and a single small piece of beef and chicken.
Overall, I’m just relieved that day is behind us. The only honest reviews about this company seem to be the ones where people are clearly crying out for help, and even those are met with rude and dismissive responses. Save yourself the stress and avoid booking with these scammers.
