It was a very interesting excursion and the numerous Define were also visible on the reef after a short trip with a rubber boat, although several times only briefly. Several ships were moored on the reef with numerous guests who probably all wanted to see dolphins. At least the dolphins didn't seem to mind as they are faster anyway.
At the same mooring you could snorkel for 30 minutes on the beautiful reef with clear water.
Our trip started at 3:50am in El Qusier and we were back around 7pm. In the water we were about 1h in good weather.
It should be noted that the minibus journey to the port Hamata is quite long (in our case 3.5h) and the subsequent boat trip takes another good 2h each way, which then becomes quite a challenge in seas and fresh wind. Here it is recommended to have something warming to cover.
The boat was well staffed with 35 guests from different tour groups and made a good external impression. The crew was nice and helpful and already has a certain routine here.
Note that the "National Park Fee" OnTop is collected on the boat and Dollar is probably rather reluctant to be seen.
All in all, it was a beautiful but also exhausting day.
