- Pick up well worked out.
- Return route: You are dropped off in Giza in front of the pyramids or downtown.
- Our driver spoke quite good English, very friendly. He explained the procedures and named the places and introduced us to traditional music in the car and, later in the evening by a fire, to the flute and drum. It is explicitly stated that he has no explanations with year numbers etc. Or about e.g. stone formations, which we did not expect accordingly.
- Good traditional food.
- The majority of the tour we were in a group of 5. In a 4x4 jeep and at our overnight camp in the desert. The camps were almost a kilometer apart and we visited another camp for music and dance in the evening.
- Ask if you can lean out the window, it's really fun. There are 2 handles for this and on the roof you also have some for good grip. At first we were skeptical and are super glad to have tried it.
- Many possibilities for photo tops.
- Sandboarding, which is like sledging on sand.
- English is a must here to understand the explanations and, at best, to communicate with the others in the group.
- the first stop is at a desert hotel where you can eat something and charge your phone. You will receive all information about the process there and may take 1 piece of luggage per person. We had two small backpacks, which is like a big one and another big backpack for 2 people.
- One group even saw a fennek (desert fox), so of course you have to be lucky.
- We are totally satisfied and would do the tour again and recommend it to others. Best book on their site, this will save you money: "Deluxe Travel Budget White Desert Camping tour".
