Enter through the Siq, a long and narrow passageway upon the entrance filled with unique details including carvings and shrines. Later in the afternoon, it will be time to head back to the border, passing by Wadi Rum again for a quick view before arriving at the border and crossing into Eilat. Travelers spent a LOT of time waiting while groups came from different places and departed on 1,2 & 3 day tours. But we waited at least an hour at the beginning and again while all was coordinated. I am sure this was cost efficient for the tour company, but customers paid for it. The bus, food and lodging were quite nice. The guide was not very informative. Recommend people hire a private guide, I hear it isnt much more expensive.

The tour company caused a 2 hour delay at the border and another 1 hour delay at some shops. We only had 2 hours in Petra instead of the 4 hours advertised. With the 30 minute walk required each way to get through the Siq, it only left us about an hour to see the sites inside Petra. Due to how little time we had, our guide informed us he would only be going to the first two sites within Petra. If we wanted to try to see more of Petra, he encouraged us to go on our own at our own pace, which we did. We were extremely disappointed with this tour.
