Upon arriving in Ceiba, we will commence with a 25-30 minute hike, which includes a brief river trek. Once we enter the outskirts of the forest, you will climb through rocks and trees to reach the pristine natural pools and waterfalls. Here, you can also swing from a rope or cliff jump. We will spend some time here before proceeding to the next stop, an advanced hike to higher natural pools that lead to exciting natural waterslides. We then return through the same path, with the option to swim part of the way. Throughout this excursion, your certified guide will share important information about the only tropical rainforest in the US Forest System, as well as intriguing facts about Puerto Rico's culture and history, while ensuring you have a safe, enjoyable, and informative experience. After the tour concludes, we will stop at a local restaurant for a late lunch (food cost not included) before returning to San Juan or your initial meeting point.

    During this tour you will experience hiking through the outskirts of El Yunque National Rainforest. You'll spot the different fauna and flora and bathe in a waterfall.  Participants must be capable of walking through rocky, muddy, uneven terrain and rock climb. This exhilarating experience includes water-related activities such as swinging from a rope into the natural pools, cliff jumping, and natural waterslides. Since hurricanes Irma & Maria, most of the popularly known trails remain closed until further notice. Our tour route has been adapted in order to continue offering a full day of pure adventure.

  • Please dress appropriately: Wear hiking shoes (tennis with a good grip also works). Can also bring water shoes for when you go into the river. Please note: shoes will get wet and very muddy
  • Participants must be physically capable of walking thru steep, rocky, muddy and uneven surfaces without assistance.
  • Must have a good breakfast before departing on this tour.
  • Wear bathing suit underneath, bring a towel and change of clothes.
  • Children must be 7 years to participate.
  • Pregnant women, participants with heart complaints, back or knee problems, recent injuries or surgeries, mobility limitations or other serious medical conditions cannot participate on this tour.
  • Tour operates based weather and river conditions. In the event of poor weather you will be offered an alternate tour, option to reschedule or refund.
  • Failure to provide hotel/lodging or cruise information upon booking may result in bus not being able to pick you at your location or close to it. No refunds will be issued if you miss your pick up.
  • Due to safety reasons participants must be able to understand English or Spanish. Legally blind or deaf persons are not able to participate due to the same. An alternative for persons with certain limitations is to book a Private Rainforest tour. Please contact us for more information.
  • Use of lifejacket and helmet is mandatory. $100 fee will apply for each piece of equipment if not returned.
  • Once you begin the tour, you must finish it all the way up to the second stop and return back with the group.
  • Please travel light and only bring the necessary to the tour. Leave behind electronic devices, any important documentation like passport, large sums of cash or credit cards. Cell phones require waterproof case.
  • On Saturdays the hike is longer and more challenging since we depart from a different point.
  • Estimate duration of 8 hrs includes: 3.5-4 hrs at the forest, 1.5 hr drive each way plus lunch time.
  • Published starting time is only an estimate. Exact pick up time will be provided the DAY PRIOR to your tour.
  • Bespoke LM Reserves the Right of Admission - If a person appears to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs, not following instructions, causing disruptions or not dressed appropriately (for certain tours) the Guide has the right to Cancel their reservation at any moment, and No Refunds will be issued due to this.
  • Persons with the previously listed health restrictions cannot participate on the tour. No refunds will be authorized if a person neglects to read complete description and does not meet the safety requirements and limitations on the day of the tour.
You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.
  • For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
  • This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.
  • This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund.

Very cool trip. Our guides were fantastic. Wear shoes that can get very muddy and wet with good grip. Very challenging climbing but really fun and worth it. Be prepared for serious rock climbing and cliff jumps. Guides were supportive of those who needed help or couldn’t swim.

The tour Guys made it fun and made you feel safe. It was a awesome experience!!! Would definitely recommend going with a guide if you are not from Puerto Rico.

Great tour and great communication from the tour company as far as what to expect and what to wear. The emphasis was on fun and safety. We were the only tour that had lifejackets and helmets on the entire time and all persons were in closed toe shoes, which you need. You will get muddy so wear old shoes! Our tour guide, Poncho, was the best. I liked the fruit store we stopped at on the way there, empanadas were good and fruit was delicious. The place we stopped to eat on the way back and several eateries (60) and a beautiful beach, however we didn't have enough time to enjoy both because of time. We only had an hour and a half to eat and get in beach time. I think you need at least 2 hours there to fully enjoy it and that's pushing it. A few people actually opted to take an Uber back rather than ride the bus back so they could stay longer.
