    Elafonissi Beach with its famous Pink Coral Sand is considered to be one of the most famous beaches all over the world as per the most famous travel guides. Elafonissi "breaks" in two parts by water giving the impression of being a separate island. Elafonissi is a “Natura 2000” protected area. The island is full of dunes with sand lilies and junipers (like-cedar trees). The endangered turtles Caretta-Caretta and several rare animals nest on the island and it is strictly forbidden to remove any plants, animals from the area. Exotic beach with white sand and turquoise waters, reminding of the Caribbean, are formed on either sides of the peninsula. The sand is pinkish in many places, taking its color from thousands of broken shells. Near the “breaking" point of the peninsula, the water does not exceed 1m, creating a small lagoon, ideal for children. The eastern side of the beach, in front of the lagoon, is well organized and has the most people.

Good agreement on time and place. Both the bus and we were ahead of allotted time. Nice driver and leader. Fresh bus with AC. Really good. That it was the beginning of the season is something that no one can influence - it was windy like @#%, the water had not really warmed up either but me and my daughter found a place where we could escape the "storm winds" and be where it was not so deep so the water on that side was probably slightly warmer .. we were on the side that did not have so much waves so we could enjoy the stay. Really happy with the trip there, those who work, the stops etc. we did. The driver drove respectably and took no stupid unnecessary risks with overtaking at inappropriate places which is a big plus. There were those who overtook at bends without good visibility, and the road to Elafonissis can be a bit winding and even steep... He made us feel safe. // Family that did not take a goat on the bus ????
