The elephant Sanctuary provides a "halfway house" for young African elephants in need of a temporary home. It is the only operation in South Africa that provides foe elephants in this way. It is our vision to release all the elephants into an environment where they can be more independent once they are older.

What a great opportunity to get up close and personal with the elephants. Beautiful, amazingly clean facility. The staff was wonderful and great picture takers!! A true highlight and memories for a lifetime. Our driver, Willie, was also a delight to talk to.

Några få elefanter. De går inte fria. De har daglig konstant mänsklig kontakt. Det är trötta elefanter. Inte stressade, men otroligt trötta. Inte värt pengarna. En riktig turistattraktion i samma klass som att rida elefanter i Thailand. Att någon tar hand om djuren är bra. Men det hade räckt om besökarna matade elefanterna. Skippa cirkus konsterna.

Injured, deserted elephants are taken care in an excellent way. You learn a lot about the elephants, even their anatomy. Then you can touch, ride and even get a kiss. I’ve never been so close to an elephant and it is a great experience. All parents should go with their kids (while unfortunately the entrance fee is a bit too high)
