Embera tour is an unique experience that combines the visit to one of the main indigenous group in Panama and having contact with the amazing nature in the Central-American rainforest. Note: The Embera Village suffered a fire and several houses were affected. With your visit you will be contributing to the reconstruction of the damaged houses.

  • Chagres River, Gamboa, Panama
    After picking you up at your hotel, we will go to the path “El Charco” where we will walk in the middle of the jungle observing the exuberant fauna and flora of the rainforest. In this location there is a small waterfall which is a beautiful location for taking some pictures. Later we will take a boat heading to Ella Puru, a small traditional village located in the shore of the Chagres River. The Emberas will show their traditions, their way of dressing and how they elaborate their handcrafts. They will perform their traditional dances and music and we will have time for interacting directly with them. We will enjoy lunch prepared by the Embera community.

Such a fun adventure. Our guide, Esteban, was friendly, knowledgable, and made the day so much fun. Lunch was delicious - fried fish and fresh Panama fruits!

Die Abholung lief reibungslos. Schon vorab haben wir bei MonkeyAdventures per Mail Kontakt aufgenommen und auch da hat die Kommunikation, die Buchung und die Zahlung sehr gut von Deutschland aus geklappt. Am Vorabend vor der Tour bekamen wir noch einmal per WhatsApp Bescheid über die Abholzeit und den Fahrer. Wer in Panama kein indigenes Volk besucht hat, hat etwas Wichtiges von Panama verpasst. Die Wanderung zum Wasserfall ist schon sehr schön wegen der Natur und dann natürlich die Embera. Es war schön, Einblicke in die heute noch bestehende Kultur (mit eigener Rechtssprechung) zu bekommen. Natürlich ist es hier besonders toll gemacht ... wegen der Nähe zu Panama City natürlich auch am Leichtesten zu erreichen. Aber es lohnt sich wirklich sehr.
