What can I say about the bus ghost tour. It was fun yet informative. The tour guide who told us his name was John Doe ???? was hilarious from start to finish with some audience participation and visual effects. Bob, the driver, should also be mentioned as he was part of the show. Recommended

I knew I wanted to do a ghost tour when I visited York, but what one?! Well, The bus aspect stood out to me (my partner and I have a running night bus joke so this was perfect) but also the reviews were splendid. I was SO THRILLED. The experience was everything and more, the atmosphere, the amazing characterisation, knowledge and comedic effort by the conductor (John Doe) was utterly a highlight of our trip. We learned so much, got spooked and laughed so hard. The trip itself is well organised, booking online was easy and the location of pick up was easy to find (near the station). I was enjoying myself so much, time flew by! It's honestly such a fun experience that both adults and children enjoyed it. We went at a 7.30pm slot as the 9.30 but the vibes were spot on. It was also really helpful to do the tour on our first night so we had a rough idea of where to explore the following day. There is a little bit of walking when you get to the shambles, but it's literally like over the road to see the shortest street and Golden fleece. All in all, perfect for any spooky fan exploring York and its history!
