The tour takes you around some of the more interesting sights of the beautiful city of Newcastle. On it you will hear about the history of the city from the Iron Age to present day, and also about some of the city's more interesting characters. The tour is approximately 3.5km (2.2 miles), does include some steps, road crossing, and some uneven pavement. Please come prepared according to the weather forecast for that day. In the event of bad weather, please contact me through the message option here on TripAdvisor to see if the tour is still going ahead. Weather cancellations will be very rare.

Possibly the best city tour we've ever been on. Rob really knows his history and the tour was at a very comfortable pace with plenty of humour. Why no Hadrian's Wall in Newcastle? Rob knows and now so do we. A fantastic way to spend a few hours, highly recommended.

The tour was full of information. Rob is a great guide and showed us some parts of Newcastle that we'd never have found ourselves. Starting with the regeneration of Newcastle and moving all the way back to the first settlements, this was a great introduction to the history of the city. A very enjoyable 2+ hours
