    If you’re looking for a day out with a difference, you’re in the right place. Explore the whole prison at your leisure, take photos and CELLfies as you soak up the atmosphere of this amazing 400-year-old prison. You will be given a visitor guide and map, as you explore around the prison use the sound boxes to learn the facts and history of the prison. The information boards add a fascinating background detail to your visit with staff always available to point you in the right direction and answer any questions you may have.

Thought provoking day out with the family. Helpful map to ensure you don't miss any areas, but with the yellow arrows, you should be ok without one. Dog had a good day out too, and made use of a photo shoot in the stocks.! ???????? Was interesting hear our daughter quoting various bits and pieces, she'd also learnt as part of her A level criminology course. Definitely worth a visit!!

Very very interesting day at the prison All weather attraction with plenty to see. A good half day is required to see it all at leisure. A small cafe on site with toilets which cater for your needs. Definitely recommend a visit

Had a fantastic visit today. The staff were lovely & very knowledgeable. There was no one rushing us through & it was very interesting. Will defo be going back for an overnight stay
