Always wanted to try surfing, then our beginner group surf lessons are for you! Our ISA and Lifeguard qualified surf instructors will give you the basic knowledge and skills of surfing in a fun and informative way. We are the longest running surf school in Newquay based on South Fistral Beach and a Surfing England Centre of Excellence. A bucket list must for every visit to Newquay no matter what age, ability or experience. Get those essential surf skills down before hitting the waves by yourself. Suitable for complete novice surfers, those that have surfed only a couple of times before or those that need a refresher lesson. All of our lessons are 2 hours and include free equipment hire, wetsuit, surfboard (boots, gloves, hood in winter). Maximum instructor/student ratio 1:8. Minimum age for participants 7 years old, under 10's to be accompanied by an adult. All participants must be able to swim.

We had a 2 hour lesson with Bertie who was a fantastic instructor. He was very thorough with safety (in a fun way) we knew we were in good hands. We were both novices and by the end were able to stand up and have a good ride in ????‍♂️. Really recommend this - we had loads of fun. Worth noting also that we were both quite apprehensive about the cold but the equipment provided was really good - wasn’t cold at any point even in Feb!

Joe was an amazing instructor! I had 3x 2 hour lessons and went from knowing nothing about surfing to be able to stand up. Joe made the lessons really engaging, so much fun and so much enthusiasm. It’s given me such a real desire to get my own board and take it up as a hobby. The whole experience was such a buzz. Thanks Joe

I have done 2 surf lesson here, and both Joe and Jamie were amazing. So friendly, knowledgeable and encouraging. I have went from never been on a surf board to been able to stand up (mostly). I would recommend the school and both instructors.
