Mathew Street is one of the most famous streets in the world, and is synonymous with the Cavern Club and The Beatles. You will have chance to have your photo taken in front of the Cavern Club and see all the links along the street and the area to The Beatles story.

    The area around Whitechapel is routed in The Beatles story. You will see Hessy's the famous music shop that has launched a thousand bands and visit locations that are forever placed in the Fab Four history.

    Passing by The Hard Days Night Hotel. you will visit Derby Square, built on the original site of Liverpool Castle. Here you will have chance to take some photos in front of the imposing statue of Queen Victoria, which is also the setting for a famous photo of The Beatles.

    As you walk along the dock area, you will be able to take photos of the iconic buildings that frame this part of the waterfront including the Cunard Building, the Royal Liver Building, and of course get a selfie with The Beatles as they look across the Mersey. On occasion due to events taking place on the Waterfront- access to the Andy Edwards Beatle Statue on the Waterfront maybe limited. On these occasions we stop by The Beatles Statue by John Doubleday in the Cavern Walks.

  • Royal Albert Dock Liverpool, Liverpool, United Kingdom
    As your guide escorts you around the waterfront to the Pump House on the famous Royal Albert dock, you pass by the bronze statue to Bill Fury which has become the fans shrine to him. As you near the end of the tour- the reason for the visit to the Pump Room will be revealed with a final & interesting story of Liverpool and the role it had in The Beatles journey.

My sister, childhood friend, and I took The Beatles Famous Walking Tour of Liverpool on Monday, June 23. Our guide was Mike Haskins. Mike is a published author and Beatles expert. We started out at Bluecoat and learned about the significance of this Art School in the Beatles story. We went to many stops that were a part of the Beatles history in Liverpool. It was a great 2 plus hour walking tour. For Beatles fans, this was a great informative tour. It is also a great way to see this great walkable city of Liverpool. I would recommend this tour for any first-time visitors to Liverpool. Our excellent tour guide Mike was another reason to take this tour.
